landscape beds at the entry
  • The client’s goals for this landscape remodel were to enhance the overall feel of the entry, provide circulation around the north side of the house, create positive drainage and conveyance of storm water away from the house, improve the path from the back porch to the hot tub, and to restore the perennial beds.

  • A steel retaining wall was added at the entry to define the edge of the parking area.

  • A reclaimed concrete path was added to connect the garage and front door.

  • A bar grate deck was added to provide a level snow-free path on the north side of the house but still allow the ground to slope away from the foundation. A french drain was added between the slope to the north and the bar grate deck to intercept storm water flowing toward the house.

  • A stone landing and stairs were added to improve access to the hot tub in the back yard.
