Inspired by the expansiveness and beauty of the West

I found a love of landscapes after a raft trip down the Grand Canyon as a teenager and have been inspired by the western landscape ever since. My passion for living outdoors continued with a thru-hike of the Appalachian Trail and long backcountry trips in Alaska, Mexico, the desert Southwest, and Northern Rockies.

I have a B.S. degree in Geology from the University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee. After graduating with a Masters degree in Landscape Architecture from the University of Arizona in 2007, I worked for Norris Design in Tucson, Arizona for 9 years. My work there included park design and planning, hospital and school campus design, subdivision master planning, and streetscape design. In 2016, I moved to Bozeman, Montana and worked at Design 5 where my work focused on residential and multi-family landscape design, schools, parks, subdivision master planning, and hotel landscape design.

In 2022, I started Verdant LLC to translate the beauty of natural, native landscapes into landscape designs for property owners in the Gallatin Valley and beyond. I aspire to consistently provide the highest standards in landscape design and construction services to my clients.
